History of Notting Hill

Its name is derived from one of the manors located in Kensington which was known as Knotting Barnes or Nutting Barnes. The name Nott is a part of the section of the Saxon Persona name Cnotta and ing is also from the Saxon which ideally is for settlement or group of people.
