Interesting facts about Camden Town:

Camden was initially part of the manor of Kentish Town and named after Charles Pratt, who was the Earl of Camden. After Regent’s Canal was built in 1816, the district began to grow. The famous markets were set up in 1973 and in a relatively short period of time Camden Town became a synonym for an alternative nightlife.
