About Enfield Town

About Enfield

Enfield is located in the London Borough of Enfield. Although the Borough was officially established in 1965, there is evidence that the area was inhabited from prehistoric times. In addition, it was located next to the Roman road that passed from London to York, so it was already quite established in medieval times. It wasn’t recognized as a suburb of London before the arrival of the railway in 1840.
